Her goal is to create a world-class Supplier Diversity Initiative that leverages the talent and quality of diversity suppliers for the benefit of CHEP and its customers, and MWBEs. One of her most apparent attributes is the deep caring she shows for the success of the minority and women suppliers. Soda Pop Graphics is one supplier that eloquently explains that Marbury went far beyond just giving them the opportunity to bid on contracts. She helped Soda Pop Graphics develop in the areas of project and time management and cost analysis. Her approach to supplier diversity includes helping suppliers understand the RFP and onboarding process, the need for innovation and methods for effective product and service presentation. In her role, Marbury, who has an MBA and is active in the community, spends a lot of time networking, mentoring and coaching suppliers. She works closely with NMSDC and WBENC and other councils. She is a frequent presenter at workshops, sharing her 20 years of experience working in procurement and supplier diversity in companies like General Motors, Brunswick Corporation and Kraft Foods. Using her experience to drive change within CHEP in supplier diversity, she sees the ‘big picture’ in that supplier diversity is good for CHEP, the industry, the economy and the country.
