Splashy news stories of international hackers make for interesting press and serve as a constant warning to businesses that maintaining cybersecurity is an ongoing challenge. The problem is that external cyber threats to businesses are just half the story because the risk of inside attacks are just as real and can be even more damaging. Employees, partnering firms, and vendors sharing IT systems have access to the most sensitive data and programs, creating insider risks.
