The days of abundance within the earth are behind us and so it’s now necessary to explore our options when it comes to alternative energy. We’re all looking for green and cheap sources that fulfill all our needs; wind, hydro, geothermal, and coal are examples, but how viable are they in today’s global landscape? This issue affects everything from politics, including new government legislature to fund these expenditures, to the security restrictions that guarantee safety to the general population and clean sources of energy. Various energy companies attempt to answer this question, but the myriad of challenges constantly hindering this progression serves as a wakeup call to the world that we now need a solution to the energy crisis. - by Valerie Gomez
