In his 1937 work Think And Grow Rich, Dr. Napoleon Hill noted how business magnates like Andrew Carnegie surrounded themselves with peers, whom they consulted for both personal and professional issues. He coined the term “Master Mind,” defining it as: “Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.” In their case, the purpose was definite success.
